RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR USING THE BEREAN CHURCH FACILITY

 (These Rules apply ONLY to non-regularly scheduled church activities)

  1.  Any external group, not being a member of the Berean Church, desiring to use the facilities must be in agreement with the Articles of Faith of the Berean Church. Not only during the time at the facility, but also as communication by any means, either in action or by statement, has not and will not promote doctrine inconsistent with these articles. The final decision on whether or not to allow use of the facility rests with the Elder Board, Pastors, or Deacon Board of the Berean Church owning the facility.
  2. The Berean Church Facility Use Information Form must be filled out and submitted to the church Deacons or the Pastor by each group requesting use of the facility.
  3. It is realized that advance planning is sometimes difficult, but if possible, two months advance notice for use of the facility would be appreciated.
  4. Keys may be obtained from the Deacon Board or the Pastor. They must be turned in following use of the facility.
  5. Maintenance of the facility will be the responsibility of the group using the facility including:

(I)Kitchen:

a)  Supplies cleaned, washed and put away
b)  Appliances, sinks and cupboard tops cleaned
c)  Trash emptied with new plastic bags in containers
d)  Floor swept and mopped
e)  The towels and dish cloths need to be taken home and laundered and returned.

(II) Main area and Rooms used:

a)  Tables and chairs stored or properly arranged and wiped off.
b)  Floor vacuumed
c)  Trash emptied with new plastic bags in containers
d)  Have the room ready for the next use
e)  Restrooms ready for the next activity

(III) Nursery

a)  All toys cleaned (disinfected if a child had a fever or runny nose) and put away.

(IV) Paper and Supplies

a)  Notify the church secretary (secretary’s office or churchsecretary@sterlingberean.com) if supplies need to be replenished after your activity.

6.  Any damage done to the facility during use will be assessed to the group or organization.
7. Upon entering the facility, each group should check the condition of the facility and notify the Deacon Board or the Pastor to report damage or poor condition of the building to avoid assessment.
8. Placing material on walls that would deface any wall surface is not permitted.
9. Check bathrooms and lock all doors, and close all windows when leaving.
10. Return all tables and chairs to storage areas provided or properly arranged.
11. No alcoholic beverages will be allowed on the premises.
12. Smoking is not allowed on the premises.
13. Dancing is not allowed on the premises.
14. No furnishings or equipment can be removed from the building.
15. Unless other arrangements are made in advance, use of the facility is restricted to the fellowship hall only.

CHECK LIST FOR EACH APPROVED ACTIVITY RESPONSIBILITIES:

General Rule of Thumb: “Leave the facility prepared for the next user just as you would want it ready for you”

(If any of the following area(s) does(do) not apply for what you used, you can disregard that item)

FELLOWSHIP HALL AND ROOMS USED

  1. Tables and chairs stored or properly arranged and wiped off.
  2. Floor vacuumed
  3. Trash emptied with new plastic bags in containers
  4. Have the room ready for the next use
  5. Restrooms ready for the next activity

KITCHEN:

  1. Supplies cleaned, washed and put away
  2. Appliances, sinks and cupboard tops cleaned

  4. Floor swept and mopped
  5. The towels and dish cloths need to be taken home and laundered and returned.

PAPER AND SUPPLIES
Please let the church secretary (secretary’s office or churchsecretary@sterlingberean.com) know if supplies need to be replenished after your activity.

NURSERY
All toys cleaned (disinfected if a child had a fever or runny nose) and put away
